| In May 2004 the Caßdorf Gospel Choir from Germany sang with Banchory Singers in the Town Hall. |

Medieval Fayre in July 2004
|
| The Singers attended the 16th annual Singing Festival at Stonehaven's Mackie Academy on Saturday March 5th 2005.Nine choirs from around Aberdeenshire came together to take part in a singing workshop during the afternoon. Then in the evening, they each performed three items from their repertoire, demonstrating a wide range of choral activity. Guest conductor David Lawrence commented that this unique, non competitive festival, bringing together, so many varied choirs, was an exciting idea that he would readily take back south with him. David led the workshop, where two contrasting pieces were studied- 'Now is the Month of Maying' (Holst) and ' O Fortuna' from Carmina Burana (Carl Orff). David is a well known teacher of choral conducting,he is an adjudicator for the BBC Choir of the Year competition and frequently conducts for BBC's Songs of Praise. It was a long but very rewarding day. |
